How Our Pregnancy & Pediatric Nutritionists Support Your Family

Our team has worked with many families, from planning for a baby, getting through pregnancy, to figuring out how to feed kids with different needs.

Family Nutritionist and Dietitian

When it comes to family nutrition, we’ll help you build balanced meals that fit your budget and your life. That could be by finding creative ways to please a picky eater, making adjustments for allergies, or simply helping everyone eat a little better without extra stress.

Fertility and Pregnancy Nutritionist and Dietitian

As fertility and pregnancy nutritionists, we can help with fertility and family planning, along with trimester-specific nutrition for a healthy pregnancy for both mother and baby.

Pediatric Dietitian and Nutritionist for Infants, Children, and Teens

Our pediatric dietitians will make sure your kid’s nutrition will support their growth at every stage. We offer help, ranging from introducing solids to balanced teen meals.

Specialized Pediatric Nutrition Support

We also offer pediatric support that is specialized for conditions like ADHD, autism, celiac disease, lactose intolerance, and other food sensitivities, always focusing on meals that are both nourishing and enjoyable.

Parent Support and Meal Planning

Because parents are busy, we strive to share time-saving meal planning strategies that keep food costs in check. Quick ideas, make-ahead recipes, and realistic prep tips to make feeding your family a whole lot easier.

How It Works: Insurance Coverage for Dietitian and Nutritionist Services

In Canada

  • Most insurance companies cover our nutrition services.
  • Call your provider to confirm if there is coverage for dietitian or nutritionist services.
  • If you’re covered, your kids are usually included, and we can provide receipts to help maximize your budget.
  • After each session, we’ll provide an insurance receipt for submission to your insurance company.

In the United States

  • We can provide superbills for out-of-network services, which you can submit for potential reimbursement.
  • We are not in-network with US insurance companies.

FAQ for Our Prenatal and Pediatric Dietitians and Nutritionists

  • Are the consultations only available online?

As parents ourselves, we totally get how hectic life can be. That’s why we offer online sessions, so you can fit nutrition support into your busy schedule without the extra stress of appointments.

Our goal is to help you build a lasting relationship with your dietitian and make real, meaningful changes for your whole family.

Most sessions happen over Zoom, but we can also do phone calls if that’s easier. We use Practice Better for easy scheduling, communication, and invoicing. Once you start, you’ll have access to your account and Zoom links for all your sessions.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel or reschedule your session, and we aim to provide a transparent cancellation policy. Please review the following guidelines:

    Cancellation Notice:

We kindly request that clients provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled session if they need to cancel or reschedule.

    Cancellation Fees:

If a client cancels a session with less than 24 hours’ notice or fails to attend a scheduled session without prior notice, a cancellation fee of 100% of the session fee will be charged. This fee is necessary because we are often unable to fill the vacant spot on short notice, resulting in lost opportunities for others.

    Reminder Notifications:

To help you remember your upcoming sessions, we provide text and email reminders prior to your meeting. These notifications serve as a helpful reminder and offer a convenient way to confirm, cancel, or reschedule your appointment.

    Cancellation and Rescheduling:

Clients have the option to manage their appointments through their client portal. This allows for easy cancellation or rescheduling of sessions at your convenience. We encourage you to use this feature if your plans change.

Our goal is to provide quality service to all our clients while respecting everyone’s time. By adhering to this cancellation policy, you help us maintain a fair and efficient scheduling system. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

  • Do you offer insurance receipts?

Our dietitians provide insurance receipts at the end of each session that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement if they cover nutritionists and/or dietitians.

  • What if I don’t like my prenatal or pediatric dietitian?

If you are unhappy with the services or approaches of one of our prenatal or pediatric dieticians, please contact customer service. We are happy to transfer you to a new dietician; all of our notes are within the same system, so if you approve of the transfer, your new dietitian can access your file and start where you left off with your last dietician.

We want to create a trusting relationship with all of our clients. If you are dissatisfied, we offer 100% refunds.

  • What age groups do you support in your family nutrition plans?

Our nutriton plans and services are made to meet the needs of all age groups and development stages. From infants to adults, we create age-appropriate nutrition guides and meal ideas to support every individual’s healthy growth and wellness.

  • How long are the sessions?

Sessions last one hour or thirty minutes. The family nutritionist will use the last 5 minutes of the 30 minutes and the last 10 minutes of the consultation hour to complete their notes, do the billing, and send you any materials you have discussed.

  • Are all the sessions online?

Yes. Sessions usually take place on Zoom, and if you prefer, we can do it over the phone. We use the excellent Practice Better software for scheduling, communication, and invoicing. Once you start with us, you will have access to your Practice Better client portal and a zoom link will be created for your sessions.

  • Do you give meals plans?

Yes, we can create personalized meal plans for you using the That Clean Life and Nutrium apps. You will receive your meal right after the session. We ask that you do an initial assessment before creating the meal plan; this is necessary as we are dietitians and need to ensure that we know your goals, medical history, current intake, and preferences before making any recommendations.

  • Do you accept HSA cards

Yes, we accept HSA cards as a payment method

  • Can you help with specialized nutrition for conditions like ADHD, autism, or celiac disease?

Our family dietitians have the expertise to help manage specialized nutrition needs, including nutrition plans to support families navigating conditions like ADHD, autism, celiac disease, lactose intolerance, and other dietary requirements.
