  • Personal experience as a mom

As a mom to an 18-year old, I understand how challenging it can be to balance
good nutrition with a busy family schedule. From supporting a young athlete to
navigating picky eating or planning balanced meals, I meet families where they are and create simple, realistic steps that fit their lives.

Managing my son’s hockey and basketball teams gave me firsthand insight into how hectic family routines can become. Seeing other parents juggle meal planning, sports schedules, and picky eaters inspired my commitment to help families feel less stressed and more confident about food.

My passion also grew through volunteering with a bilingual nutrition program for children at nutritional risk, working with developmentally delayed kids in a federally funded program, and supporting pre- and postnatal mothers in a local outreach program. These experiences showed me how small, practical changes can make mealtimes more enjoyable and nourishing for everyone, and that’s what I love helping families achieve.

  • Her background in pediatric and family nutrition
    • I have worked with families for over 20 years, first at WIC (Women’s Infants Children Program) as a volunteer, as well as a volunteer in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
    • I worked as a travel dietitian supporting developmentally delayed children (birth to 6 years of age) and their families on an interdisciplinary team in home-based settings, as well for a local pre and postnatal outreach program
    • I am a member of the Picky Eating Network
  • Bettina's impact on her clients

Over the past 20 years and I have worked with more than 500 families, helping them create healthy and sustainable routines. I have also had the chance to support over 300 mothers through pregnancy and postpartum nutrition, helping them feel confident about their family’s nutrition while providing them with specific meal planning strategies

FAQ with Bettina

Frequently asked questions

  • Can you provide an insurance receipt for dietitian or nutritionist services for my baby or kids?

Yes, we can provide an insurance receipt for dietitian or nutritionist services for your baby or kids, which can help increase your budget and support your family’s health and well-being.

  • Do you give meals plans?

Our meal plans are created and delivered via That Clean Life and the Nutrium apps. After many sessions, you will have access to all the guides and materials the dietitian provides.

Please note that we require an initial assessment prior to creating a meal plan. This is to ensure we understand your goals, medical history, current intake, and any preferences or intolerances.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel or reschedule your session, and we aim to provide a transparent cancellation policy. Please review the following guidelines:

    Cancellation Notice:

    • We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling.

    Cancellation Fees:

      • Should a client cancel within less than 24 hours before their scheduled consultation, 100% of the session fee will be charged. This fee is in place to protect the time of our dietitians and avoid lost opportunities for others.

    Reminder Notifications:

      • To help avoid these cancellation fees, we send email and text reminders before any meetings to serve as a reminder that can often allow you to confirm, cancel, or reschedule your session should anything come up.

    Cancellation and Rescheduling:

      • Our client portal allows all of our clients to have access to modify, cancel, or reschedule their appointments. We encourage our clients to use this feature right away should any changes happen prior to the appointment.
  • Do I have to pay when booking a consultation?

No, your credit card information will be required to book a consultation; however, you will not be charged until the end of your session or if you cancel late (within our 24 hour cancellation policy).

  • Are all the sessions online?

Yes, our consultations take place on Zoom, but they can also be conducted over the phone if that is a preference. We use systems like Practice Better that allow for easy scheduling, communication, and invoicing.

  • How do I know if my insurance covers your services?

You should check with your insurance company to see if dietitian and/or nutritionist services are covered.

  • Can you provide insurance receipts?
