  • What has shaped your approach as a pediatric, pregnancy, and family Dietitian?

As a mom, I naturally want to give my children the very best. That’s why I’m especially interested in their nutritional needs, growth, and health, but also in something that matters just as much to me: the relationship they will develop with food over the years.

To me, feeding a child is about much more than offering nutritious foods. It’s also about supporting them as they explore, respecting their pace, helping them develop a positive relationship with food, and giving them a strong foundation they can carry with them as they grow.

I also understand the questions and challenges that can come with family meals: preparing a meal and wondering whether it will be accepted, navigating a child who refuses certain foods, worrying about how much or how much variety they are eating, all while trying to meet the needs of the entire family. And in the middle of all of that, it can be easy for parents to forget about themselves. When we are constantly caring for others, our own nutritional needs, hunger, rest, and well-being can quickly take a back seat.

  • What motivated you to become a family dietitian?

I strongly believe that taking care of yourself is an important part of being able to care for others.

This is one of the reasons I feel so drawn to family nutrition. I enjoy helping parents find simple, realistic ways to nourish their families without food becoming a source of pressure or guilt—and without neglecting their own needs in the process.

  • Do you have any other pertinent experience?

Before becoming a dietitian, I studied special education. That background has deeply influenced the way I support people. Listening, empathy, and understanding each person’s individual reality are at the heart of my approach. I take the time to understand your daily life, your challenges, and your priorities so I can offer practical, realistic strategies that are truly adapted to your family.

My goal is to support you with compassion so you can nourish your family with confidence, while also taking care of yourself and fostering a positive and enjoyable relationship with food.

Insights into past and present experience:

Fertility Nutrition: The period before conception is a great opportunity to support your nutritional health and prepare for pregnancy. I can support you whether you are trying to conceive naturally or through assisted reproduction by assessing your diet, nutritional needs, and lifestyle habits.

Pregnancy NutritionPregnancy is a time when nutritional needs change quickly, and many questions can arise. I can help you adapt your diet, meet your nutritional needs, and manage common discomforts, while also supporting a positive, balanced relationship with food throughout pregnancy.

Postpartum Nutrition: The postpartum period brings many changes, and your baby’s needs can often take priority. I can help ensure your own nutrition and nutritional needs don’t get pushed aside. Together, we can find simple strategies to help you nourish yourself adequately, regain energy, and adapt to your new reality without pressure or the need for perfection.

Breastfeeding Nutrition: Nutrition during breastfeeding often comes with many questions: Which foods should you prioritize? Which nutrients should you pay attention to? Are there foods you should avoid? I can support you in meeting your nutritional needs and maintaining a varied, adequate diet during this stage, while taking into account both your needs and your baby’s.

Infant NutritionIntroducing solid foods is a major milestone for your baby, and it often comes with plenty of questions. I can support you through this transition by helping you understand your baby’s nutritional needs, introducing iron-rich foods, textures, and allergens, and exploring different feeding approaches, including baby-led weaning (BLW).

Child nutritionThe early years are an important time for growth, but also for developing eating habits and a relationship with food. I can support you with questions about your child’s nutritional needs, food variety, mealtime behaviours, and how to encourage a positive relationship with food while respecting their pace and hunger and fullness cues.

Parent Support and Meal Planning: Between work, children, unexpected changes, and everyone’s different preferences, meal planning can quickly become a significant source of mental load. I can help simplify meal planning, organization, and preparation so you can find realistic solutions that work for your family, even when life is busy.

Family Nutrition: I can help you better understand each family member’s nutritional needs and find strategies that fit your reality, so everyone can enjoy a balanced, varied diet in a way that feels positive, enjoyable, and free from unnecessary pressure.

Specialized Nutrition Support: I can help you find strategies that are adapted to your family’s specific nutritional needs, whether related to gestational diabetes, food allergies or intolerances, ADHD, nutrient deficiencies, or certain health conditions.
