Frequently asked questions

  • Can you provide an insurance receipt for dietitian or nutritionist services for my baby or kids?

Yes, we can provide an insurance receipt for dietitian or nutritionist services for your baby or kids.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel or reschedule your session, and we aim to provide a transparent cancellation policy. Please review the following guidelines:

    Cancellation Notice:

    • We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling.

    Cancellation Fees:

      • Should a client cancel within less than 24 hours before their scheduled consultation, 100% of the session fee will be charged. This fee is in place to protect the time of our dietitians and avoid lost opportunities for others.

    Reminder Notifications:

      • To help avoid these cancellation fees, we send email and text reminders before any meetings to serve as a reminder that can often allow you to confirm, cancel, or reschedule your session should anything come up.

    Cancellation and Rescheduling:

      • Our client portal allows all of our clients to have access to modify, cancel, or reschedule their appointments. We encourage our clients to use this feature right away should any changes happen prior to the appointment
  • Do you offer direct billing, or can you provide me with an insurance receipt?

I currently do not offer direct billing. You are responsible for billing your insurance with the superbill I provide for reimbursement.

Please note that dietitians in British Columbia typically do not offer direct billing, as the process is simpler compared to dental services. Instead, we provide clients with an insurance receipt that can be easily submitted to their insurance company.

  • Are all the sessions online?

As a Pregnancy and Pediatric Nutritionist and a parent myself, I truly understand how overwhelming life can be.

That’s why we offer online sessions, so you don’t have to juggle appointments while managing your busy schedule with kids in tow.

We want to help parents build lasting relationships with their dietitian and make meaningful changes for the whole family.

Our mission is to support as many families in Alberta and Manitoba as we can, making health and nutrition more accessible and manageable for you.

All sessions will typically take place through Zoom. However, I am also able to conduct sessions by phone. Our Practice Better system allows for excellent scheduling, communication, and invoicing. Once you begin working with me, you will have access to your Practice Better account and Zoom links for all sessions.

  • Do I have to pay when booking a consultation?

Your credit card information will be necessary to book consultations, but there will be no charge until the end of your session or if there is a cancellation within 24 hours of the appointment.

  • What Insurance Providers are you covered by?
    • We are covered by all insurance policies, but coverage may vary depending on your plan.
    • Contact your insurance provider to check if dietitian or nutritionist services are included.
    • If you’re covered, you can use our services.
    • Most plans also cover children, which can help stretch your budget.
    • We can provide insurance receipts for your kids and partner too.
